HIGH PROTEIN LUNCH CHICKEN BACON RANCH WRAPS
I love making chicken wraps for lunch and this recipe is one of my favorites! These wraps are so yummy and full of protein! I like to make these using my recipe for SOURDOUGH DISCARD TORTILLAS. Making homemade tortillas makes this recipe a little more work but for me it is worth it to avoid the nasty ingredients found in most store bought tortillas. I keep the tortilla dough prepped in my fridge all the time to make it a little easier. This recipe makes four wraps, using half a chicken breast and one slice of bacon in each puts one wrap over 20 grams of protein!

What do you need to make this high protein lunch

- 2 Chicken breast
- 1/2 cup Flour
- 1 tsp Salt Remonds real salt is my favorite!
- 4 slices of thick cut bacon
- 4 Tortillas
- 1/4 cup Greek yogurt
- 1/4 cup Mayonnaise
- 1 Tbsp Lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp Garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp Onion powder
- 1 Sprig of fresh thyme and oregano or 1/2 tsp each of dried
- Chedder cheese
- Red onion
- Shredded lettuce
How to make this healthy lunch:
If you are making your own home made tortillas start by rolling out those and frying them up, this recipe makes four wraps
Place your bacon on a sheet pan and into the oven. I like to cook mine at 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Cook until it is at your desired crispiness!.
Next you want to make the chicken, start by whisking an egg in a medium size bowl. And then cut up the chicken into strips and toss it into the egg.
In a separate bowl whisk together the flour and salt
Heat up a large cast iron over medium high heat. Take a couple pieces of chicken at a time and toss them through the flour mixture and then into the hot cast iron, do that until all of the chicken is cooking in the hot pan. Once the chicken is crispy on one side, flip it over and finish it off until the chicken is cooked through. This will only take a couple minutes per side.
Once the chicken is cooked, prepare the rest of the toppings chop the lettuce and onions and shred some chedder cheese. Then whisk together all the ingredients for the home made ranch( mayo, Greek yogurt, lemon juice, onion powder. garlic powder, and fresh herbs).

After that you’re just going to assemble the wraps with all of the ingredients and enjoy!



Chicken Bacon Ranch Wraps

Instructions
- If you're making your own home made tortillas then check out my easy 5 ingredient sourdough discard tortillas and start by frying up 4 of those
- Place your bacon on a sheet pan and bake in the oven at 400 until cooked to your liking
- Next whisk an egg in a medium sized bowl, slice the chicken into thin strips and stir them into the egg mixture
- Whisk together the flour and salt
- Heat a cast iron with avocado oil over medium high heat. Take the egg covered chicken strips and dredge them through the flour and put them into the hot cast iron to cook
- Once the chicken is crispy on the bottom side, flip and finish off until cooked through. This should only take a couple minutes per side.
- Next whisk up all on the ingredients for the home made ranch ( Greek yogurt, mayonnaise, lemon juice, garlic powder, onion powder and herbs).
- Assemble the wraps with all of the ingredients and enjoy!
