The Best Fudgy Sourdough Discard Brownies

These brownies have a delicious fudgy center with a crispy top! they are irresistibly delicious!

  • Medium saucepan
  • Kitchen scale
  • 9x9 baking dish
  • Parchment paper

Ingredients
  

  • 250 grams Chocolate Dark or semi sweet
  • 115 grams Butter
  • 70 grams Cocoa
  • 1 Tbsp Vanilla
  • 100 grams Sourdough discard
  • 3 Eggs
  • 200 grams White sugar
  • 110 grams Brown sugar
  • 125 grams Flour
  • 5 grams Salt

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350F
  • In a medium Sauce pan over medium heat melt together butter and chocolate
  • Meanwhile add the eggs and sugar to a stand mixer, and using the Whisk attachment set your stand mixer to high and whisk until the sugar and eggs becomes fluffy, light in color and forms soft peaks.
  • To the melted butter mixture whisk in the cocoa, vanilla, and sourdough discard.
  • Add the chocolate mixture to the stand mixer with the eggs and sugar, and whisk on medium high till combined
  • Remove the bowl from the stand mixer and stir in the flour and salt
  • Transfer the batter to a 9x9 pan lined with parchment
  • Bake at 350F for 35-40 minutes, Until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out almost clean
  • Let brownies cool before slicing.
